Accent Consulting Group (ACG’s) pre-construction services ensure that the project team, Architect and General Contractor, has a complete understanding of and focus on the project design and budget, and that the project team fulfills their contractual responsibilities to the owner.

Before a project breaks ground, ACG works closely with the project team, providing proactive technical guidance which minimizes design errors, reduces construction time, mitigates delays, realizes cost savings, and ultimately, affirms that the projected finished product will meet client expectations. Active engagement from inception to completion allows ACG to deliver seamless continuity of project management and oversight.

ACG’s Pre-Construction Services Include:

  • Prepare Request for Proposal (RFP) and select General Contractor (GC) for exclusive right to bid on advertised project
  • Perform site management planning, including orientation of building on site
  • Evaluate sub-surface conditions and sheeting and shoring plan
  • Evaluate foundation system, structural system, building envelope system and mechanical system
  • Evaluate and advise on material selections, availability and quality
  • Perform constructability review
  • Solicit and analyze the bids that GC receives from subcontractors
  • Prepare project schedule, including “milestone” dates
  • Prepare detailed cost analysis
  • Review value engineering options
  • Evaluate owner’s insurance requirements
  • Review and coordinate GC contracts with specification requirements
  • Facilitate final contract negotiations
  • Identify all long lead items
